Chicago Human Rhythm Project: Stomping Grounds V Grand Finale

STOMPING GROUNDS is a two-month, free and affordable citywide festival, showcasing the city’s most accomplished foot drummers representing American, Spanish, Mexican, African, Indian, and Irish rhythmic dialects.

The series completes its fifth year with the grand finale on Friday, May 31st at the Harris Theater. This event will feature ALL of the STOMPING GROUNDS dance companies: Stone Soup Rhythms, Natya Dance Theatre, Muntu Dance Theatre, Trinity Irish Dance Company, Ensemble Espanol Spanish Dance Theatre, and Mexican Folkloric Dance Company.

The Harris Theater for Music and Dance is located at 205 E. Randolph Drive at the north end of Millennium Park in downtown Chicago. When driving, the Millennium Park Garage, located at 5 S. Columbus Dr., offers direct indoor access to the Harris Theater lobbies. Discounted parking validation for Millennium Park Garage is available at the Harris Theater Orchestra level box office. If arriving downtown via Metra trains: taxi cabs and CTA buses are all immediately available from Union, Ogilvie, and LaSalle Street stations.
