Chicago Youth Shakespeare’s Othello

Set on a modern day undergraduate campus, Chicago Youth Shakespeare’s production of Othello features the collaborative work of 15 youth artists from across the Chicago area, and examines issues of systemic racism, sexism, and abuse through a contemporary lens that speaks directly to today’s young adults.

Following the performance, there will be a post-show discussion with the cast led by the Writers Theatre Youth Council designed to engage youth arts leaders from across the city in conversation about race, equity, and the impact of theatre on social justice.
