Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel tells the explosive and deeply moving story of the controversial 1923 Broadway debut of Jewish playwright Sholem Asch’s God of Vengeance – a play about a forbidden lesbian romance that enchanted and outraged audiences. Award-winning Gary Griffin returns to Victory Gardens to direct this 2017 Tony Award-nominated play.

Location Details:

By car take the Fullerton Avenue exits off of 1-94 or Lake Shore Drive. Then turn north on Lincoln Ave, the theater is located at 2433 N. Lincoln Ave.

Getting here via public transportation…
By El: The Fullerton El is the closest train stop. It is accessible by the Red, Brown, and Purple lines.
By Bus: Halsted (#8), Fullerton (#74) and Sedgwick/Ogden (#37) buses all stop near the theater.

Parking
A parking garage is available at 2316 N. Lincoln, 1/2-block south of Fullerton. As of July 1, 2016 it has become a paid parking lot with rates starting at $6/hour.

Valet parking is provided for $13, one hour before curtain for every Victory Gardens show.
