Arde brilliante is a revolutionary combination of puppet-theater, film, and theater performance inspired by Soviet revolutionary and feminist Alexandra Kollontai and her concerns about freedom, the body, and sexuality as well as the ways that capitalist society shapes a woman’s identity.

Location Details:

The front of the building is on Mies van der Rohe Way, between Chicago Avenue (to the south) and Pearson Street (to the north), one block east of Michigan Avenue and one block west of Fairbanks Court.

CTA: We are located four blocks east of the Chicago Avenue stop on the CTA Red Line. You can also take the #3 King Drive, #10 Museum of Science and Industry, and #66 Chicago Avenue buses, as well as several Michigan Avenue bus routes.

Parking: Our parking garage is located on Chicago Avenue just west of Fairbanks Court and adjacent to the museum.

To access the museum you must first exit the garage, turn right on Chicago Avenue, and then enter the store or use the stairs. If you have any questions, call the parking garage at 312-986-2024.

MCA Stage performance rate: Present your theater ticket at the Box Office and receive a validation for $12 parking.

Accessibility: Call the box office to reserve wheelchair accessible seating.
