Raghuram Rajan on Community Power

May 1 @ 6:00 pm

Event Categories:
Companion Ticket

Raghuram Rajan believes that when it comes to talking about the economy, people have made a big mistake: only talking about big money, and not about small money, the money that comes from disadvantaged communities. To Rajan, a distinguished professor of finance at the University of Chicago, it is our habitual funneling of economic and political power into a few urban centers—leaving other communities disadvantaged and disempowered—that has sown the seeds not only for the economic decline of non-urban America, but also for populist backlash.
