Please be advised that currently, all TAP-eligible performances have been postponed or canceled due to COVID-19 precautions in Chicago. Wear your mask, wash your hands, and stay safe & healthy! We will let you know when the Chicago arts scene is buzzing again – and meanwhile, find virtual arts opportunities on our TAP at Home page.
Update as of April 2020:
TAP Members, Parents, and Stakeholders,
Due to the prevalence of COVID-19 (coronavirus) in the greater Chicago area, currently all of our Chicago-area arts partners have canceled or postponed their shows. Governor Pritzker and Mayor Lightfoot have implemented a stay-at-home order through April 30, and Chicago arts venues (as well as Teen Arts Pass) have responded accordingly. We encourage everyone to stay home as much as possible and prioritize stopping the spread of COVID-19!
Things are changing quickly, and we want you to stay informed; check back at this page periodically, as we will be providing updates as soon as they are available in regards to Teen Arts Pass and TAP-eligible performances.
The health and safety of Chicago’s arts community, including our TAP members, is our top priority. Please continue to practice the following behaviors that prevent the spread of germs:
- Wash your hands diligently with soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer if soap and water are not available.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the crook of your elbow if a tissue is unavailable.
- Please adhere to Illinois’ stay-at-home order, in place through April 30. More details about this order can be found at the links below.
If you are sick (especially if you are feverish or displaying signs of respiratory illness) or think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, we ask you to please stay home.
We will update this page with new developments as they arise. In the meantime, you can email info@teenartspass.org if you have questions about what Urban Gateways and Teen Arts Pass are doing with regards to COVID-19.
Thanks for your attention!
